SDC Overview

The Eagle Business Software contains an interface to the SEMA Data Coop (SDC) catalog. This powerful year, make, model  tool gives the user the power to conveniently reference parts details supplied by many manufacturers.   Parts can be searched by application options such as year, make, model, engine directly from the EBMS point-of-sale dialogs. This SDC catalog interface is an important tool to access aftermarket accessory parts information based on a customer's vehicle VIN.   The allows the user to access application detail quickly and efficiently to quote or sell various parts. The SDC catalog includes detailed information about aftermarket parts supplied by the manufacturer.

SEMA understands what a challenge it can be to manage product data, whether it is weights and measures, accurate descriptions, current pricing, UPC codes or application data to power vehicle specific parts look-ups. That’s why SEMA created the definitive, industry owned and operated centralized data repository, complete with a comprehensive set of online data management tools.  SEMA believes that all manufacturers should have direct ownership of their product data and that it should be configured and stored in the accepted industry ACES and PIES standards. The SDC provides a full-time Data Lab to assist Manufacturers in the on-boarding process, and provides validation services to assure standards compliance before the data goes into the repository. Once it is securely stored, customers have the ability to receive data exports directly from EBMS for use in creating quotes or sales invoices.

The SDC catalog can be interfaced into the EBMS software. Review the SDC Initial Setup section for more details.

The SDC catalog can be accessed directly from the EBMS Sales Order or Proposals dialogs. The SDC catalog allows a year/make/model or VIN number lookup for parts offered by hundreds of manufacturers. The SDC catalog includes the inventory on-hand quantity and selling price from the EBMS system. Parts can be selected from the SDC catalog and imported directly into EBMS point-of-sale windows. Review the Lookup Aftermarket Parts section for more details.

The catalog will link to the product details page that lists various details about each part.
